Recovery from an implant
The recovery time for breast implants varies based on the type of implant you get and where the implant is placed. If you have your implants placed underneath the muscle then the recovery time will be longer. The total recovery time for most women is about one week. After a week you will be able to resume all of your normal activities but it is still good to be cautious of putting too much strain on the surgical site. Also, be very careful not to sustain injury to your breasts because that can result in leak or deflation of the implants.
Immediately after surgery there will be a moderate amount of pain associated with the actual surgery and you will have to recover from the use of anesthesia. It will only take a few hours to regain consciousness and normal mental functioning from the anesthetic agent. Once you are back at home you will want to have your house set up in a matter that is comfortable and makes it easy to do all your daily activities without too much strain and movement. The first week you will want to take it very easy and just relax so your body can heal and allow you to return to your normal activities as soon as possible.
If you over work your self or strain your surgical site during the first week it could result in a longer over all recovery time. You also need to focus on the emotional and mental recovery from your surgery. You need to make sure you are happy with your new body ad not overly critical of the breast augmentation. You will pick out flaws on yourself that other people would never notice. This is not healthy and could result in emotional damage or hurting your self esteem. Unless there is a drastic problem with your breast enlargement then you should accept the outcome and love the sexy new you.
